4. Communications and Marketing Choices
We may send parents and guardians service-related communications, including registration confirmations, receipts, schedule changes, reminders, safety notices, instructor updates, cancellation notices, and responses to inquiries. These communications may be necessary to provide a requested service and may continue even if you unsubscribe from promotional messages.

You may request that we stop nonessential text messages by replying “STOP” where that option is available or by contacting us. Standard carrier rates may apply.
We do not knowingly send promotional communications directly to children under 13.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, software development tools, and similar technologies. These technologies may be operated by us or by third parties.
Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies support functions such as:
Securely delivering the website;
Maintaining sessions;
Processing forms;
Remembering privacy choices;
Preventing fraud;
Managing shopping carts and checkout;
Scheduling appointments; and
Maintaining website security.
Because these technologies are necessary for the requested service or basic operation of the website, they cannot always be disabled through our cookie-preference tool.
Functional Cookies
Functional technologies may remember preferences or support optional website features.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics technologies help us understand website traffic, navigation, performance, and visitor interactions. We use this information to improve our website and services.
Advertising Cookies and Pixels
Advertising technologies help us measure advertisements, understand whether an adult visitor arrived through an advertising campaign, limit repeated advertisements, and present relevant advertising to parents, guardians, and other adults.
Where consent is required, nonessential analytics and advertising technologies are restricted until the visitor accepts the relevant category through our cookie banner. Visitors may accept, decline, or manage categories of nonessential cookies. Preferences may be changed through the Cookie Settings control on our website.
Blocking or deleting cookies may affect some website features. Browser controls, cookie settings, and advertising preferences generally apply to the browser or device on which they are selected and may need to be repeated on another browser or device.
Squarespace’s cookie controls may not automatically control every third-party script or custom integration. We therefore configure and periodically review custom tracking code so that nonessential technologies operate consistently with the choices presented through our cookie banner.
A parent or guardian should manage cookie choices on a device used by a child.
6. Squarespace and Acuity Scheduling
Our website is hosted and supported by Squarespace. Squarespace may process website content, form submissions, account information, commerce information, device information, usage information, cookies, and security data on our behalf or for its own legitimate operational and legal purposes.
We may use Acuity Scheduling, a Squarespace service, for appointments, consultations, class scheduling, trial sessions, and related forms. Acuity may process contact information, scheduling selections, form responses, time-zone information, payment status, and cookies needed to provide the scheduling service.
Information submitted through Squarespace or Acuity is also subject to the applicable Squarespace privacy terms. Acuity may use cookies that are necessary for scheduling functions and that cannot be disabled without affecting the service.
7. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and interact with our website. Depending on your settings and consent choices, Google Analytics may process information such as:
Internet Protocol address;
Browser, operating-system, and device information;
Approximate geographic area;
Referring source;
Pages viewed;
Website navigation and interaction events;
Date, time, and duration of visits;
Cookie or device identifiers; and
Consent and technical diagnostic information.
We use Google Analytics for traffic measurement, website improvement, error detection, and aggregated reporting.
We do not intentionally send Google Analytics names, email addresses, telephone numbers, complete payment information, child registration-form contents, student health information, or other information that directly identifies a student. Our event names, page addresses, and custom analytics settings are intended not to include such information.
Where required, Google Analytics operates according to the analytics preference selected through our cookie banner. Visitors may also use browser controls or Google’s Analytics opt-out browser tools.
Google may process information in accordance with its own privacy terms and may process data on servers located outside the visitor’s state or country.
8. Meta Pixel and Meta Advertising
We use or may use the Meta Pixel and related event-tracking hooks provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. to:
Measure visits resulting from advertisements on Facebook or Instagram;
Understand which advertisements lead to inquiries, registrations, or purchases;
Measure advertising performance and attribution;
Create or exclude advertising audiences composed of adult website visitors;
Display advertising to parents, guardians, and other adults who may be interested in our programs; and
Limit or improve the relevance of advertisements.
Depending on the visitor’s activity, configuration, and consent choices, the Meta Pixel may process:
Internet Protocol address;
Browser and device information;
Meta cookie or device identifiers;
Referring page;
Page address and page or service category;
Date and time;
Website interactions;
General class or service viewed;
Search, lead, account-registration, checkout, payment-step, or purchase events;
General product or service category;
Order subtotal;
Currency; and
Number of items purchased.
Meta may associate this information with other information it holds about a visitor, including a Facebook or Instagram account, and may use it for measurement, security, advertising delivery, reporting, and other purposes described in Meta’s own privacy terms.
Our custom Meta tracking hooks are intended to transmit only an event name and limited technical or commercial metadata. They are not designed to transmit the contents of enrollment, scheduling, medical, learning, accommodation, emergency-contact, or free-text form fields.
Our advertising is directed to parents, guardians, and other adults—not to children. We do not knowingly or intentionally:
Send Meta information that identifies a particular child under 13;
Send Meta a student’s name, date of birth, age, email address, telephone number, or home address;
Send Meta student health, disability, allergy, learning, behavioral, accommodation, emergency, biometric, or similarly sensitive information;
Send Meta photographs, video, audio, or student work through Pixel event parameters;
Send Meta complete payment-card or bank-account information;
Upload lists containing children’s contact information;
Create advertising audiences from children’s personal information;
Enable Meta’s automatic advanced-matching features to collect the contents of registration or contact fields; or
Use Meta Pixel information to determine a student’s eligibility, educational needs, or access to a program.
We may record that an adult completed a general registration, inquiry, checkout, or purchase, but we do not intentionally transmit the identity, age, health information, or other profile information of the participating student.
Advertising cookies may be declined through our cookie-preference tool. In certain jurisdictions, disclosure of browser identifiers and website activity to Meta for advertising may be legally defined as “sharing,” “sale,” or use for “targeted advertising,” even though we do not receive money in exchange for the information.
9. Payment Processors
We use third-party payment providers, which may include Stripe, Squarespace Payments, and PayPal.
When you make an electronic payment, the payment provider may collect and process:
Name;
Email address;
Telephone number;
Billing and shipping address;
Payment-card, bank-account, or PayPal account information;
Device and fraud-prevention information;
Transaction amount, currency, date, status, and description;
Refund, dispute, and chargeback information; and
Information required for identity verification, sanctions screening, tax, financial, or legal compliance.
Payment providers may act as service providers to us for certain processing and may independently determine how they process information for fraud prevention, legal compliance, security, and operation of their payment networks.
World of Robotics generally receives confirmation of the transaction, customer contact information, the amount, the service purchased, payment status, and limited payment-method information. We do not ordinarily receive or store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Your use of a payment provider is also governed by that provider’s privacy policy and terms.
10. Social Media and Public Content
We maintain accounts or pages on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. We may post photographs, videos, class highlights, demonstrations, student projects, testimonials, or event information in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, enrollment notices, and media-consent practices.
By enrolling a student, a parent or guardian may provide media permission as described in our Terms and Conditions and enrollment materials. A parent or guardian who does not want a student photographed or recorded should notify us in writing before the student’s first class so that we can flag the student’s record and take reasonable steps to exclude the student from promotional media.
We do not identify a minor by full name in public promotional materials without additional permission. Student projects may be shown with a first name, initials, age group, or no identifying information.
A parent or guardian may later contact us to withdraw media permission for future uses. We will make reasonable efforts to stop new uses and remove content from accounts and pages that we control. However, withdrawal may not affect materials already printed, previously distributed, lawfully used before withdrawal, copied by others, cached, archived, or independently reshared on social media.
When you comment on, tag, message, review, or otherwise interact with us on social media, the interaction may be visible to the public and may be processed by the applicable platform. We do not control how other users copy or redistribute public social media content.
Please do not post personal information about another student or family on our social media pages.
11. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
Staff, Instructors, and Contractors
We may provide staff members, instructors, and contractors with information reasonably needed to administer a class, contact a family, provide accommodations, supervise students, or respond to an emergency. Sensitive student information is provided only on a need-to-know basis.
Technology and Service Providers
We may disclose information to companies that provide website hosting, scheduling, communications, email delivery, cloud storage, analytics, advertising measurement, payment processing, accounting, security, customer support, or similar services. These providers may include Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Google, Meta, Stripe, Squarespace Payments, PayPal, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
Facilities and Program Partners
When a class is hosted at a school, community center, rented facility, or partner location, we may provide limited information reasonably necessary to coordinate access, scheduling, attendance, safety, or emergency response.
Legal, Safety, and Compliance Purposes
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, a subpoena, court order, or governmental request;
Protect a student or another person from harm;
Respond to an emergency;
Investigate fraud, misconduct, or a security incident;
Protect our rights, property, students, employees, or customers;
Enforce an agreement; or
Establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Business Transactions
Information may be disclosed as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where required.
With Permission
We may disclose information for another purpose when the parent, guardian, or applicable individual has directed us or provided permission.
Aggregated or De-Identified Information
We may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.
12. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information to third parties in exchange for money.
Our use of Meta Pixel and similar advertising technologies may involve disclosing adult browser identifiers, device information, general website activity, and advertising-interaction information to an advertising platform. Some U.S. state privacy laws may define this activity as “sharing,” a “sale,” or processing for “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged.
The categories that may be disclosed for targeted advertising are limited to:
Online and device identifiers;
Internet or website activity;
Approximate location derived from an Internet Protocol address;
Advertising-source and interaction information; and
General inferences about an adult visitor’s interest in our services.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 for targeted advertising. We also do not use student health, disability, learning, accommodation, emergency, or safety information for targeted advertising.
You may opt out of advertising cookies and targeted-advertising disclosures by selecting the appropriate choice through our Cookie Settings or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control, where provided, or by contacting us.
Where required by applicable law, we process a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device sending the signal.
After opting out, you may continue to see advertisements, but they should not be selected using personal information disclosed by us for cross-context behavioral advertising.
13. Children’s Privacy
Protecting children’s privacy is especially important to us.
Our educational programs are designed for minor students, but online enrollment, scheduling, purchasing, account creation, consent, and communication features are intended to be completed by parents, legal guardians, or other authorized adults.
We primarily receive student information from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly online from a child under 13 without first providing the required notice and obtaining verifiable parental consent, unless a limited legal exception applies.
A child under 13 should not independently:
Submit a website form;
Create a customer account;
Register for a class;
Make a purchase;
Subscribe to marketing;
Send us personal information through social media; or
Make decisions regarding analytics or advertising cookies.
A child between 13 and 17 should use transactional and account features only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.
If we learn that we collected personal information directly online from a child under 13 without the required parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or obtain appropriate parental consent.
We do not condition a child’s participation on providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary for enrollment, safety, accommodation, or participation.
A verified parent or guardian may ask us to:
Confirm whether we hold personal information about the parent or child;
Review that information;
Correct inaccurate information;
Delete information, subject to legal and safety exceptions;
Withdraw consent for future collection or use;
Prevent further nonessential collection;
Withdraw media permission for future uses; or
Request information about the service providers to which the information has been disclosed.
We may need to verify the requester’s identity, relationship to the child, and authority to act for the child before releasing or deleting student information.
We may retain information despite a deletion request when reasonably necessary for safety, incident documentation, financial records, insurance, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
We do not knowingly use children’s personal information for behavioral advertising or disclose it to Meta, Google, TikTok, or another advertising platform for targeted-advertising purposes.
14. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate legal, safety, accounting, insurance, and operational requirements.
Unless a longer or shorter period is required by law or justified by the circumstances, we generally apply the following retention periods:
Inquiries and Prospective-Customer Information
General inquiries, trial-class requests, and prospective-customer information may be retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction.
Marketing Information
Marketing contact information may be retained while you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record for as long as necessary to ensure that we honor your request.
Active Student and Family Records
Student profiles, class-placement information, scheduling information, and ordinary enrollment records may be retained during participation and for up to 24 months after the student’s last participation, unless the parent requests earlier deletion or a longer period is reasonably needed.
Health, Learning, and Accommodation Information
Health, allergy, disability, learning, behavioral, accessibility, and accommodation information is retained only while reasonably necessary for safe participation and is normally deleted or de-identified within 12 months after the student’s last participation.
This information may be retained longer when connected to an incident, insurance matter, legal claim, ongoing accommodation, or a parent’s request that the information remain available for future enrollment.
Financial, Contract, Waiver, Consent, and Incident Records
Transaction records, tax records, attendance records, signed waivers, consent records, refund records, dispute records, and incident or safety records may be retained for the longer of seven years after the relevant transaction or participation, or the period reasonably required by law, insurance requirements, audit requirements, or potential legal claims. Records involving a minor may need to be retained longer because different limitation periods can apply to claims involving minors.
Media and Student Work
Media and student work may be retained while permission remains valid and the material continues to serve an educational, archival, or promotional purpose. After a valid withdrawal request, we will stop new uses and make reasonable efforts to remove the material from channels we control, subject to previously distributed materials, legal obligations, backups, archives, and third-party reshares.
Analytics and Advertising Information
Cookie, analytics, and advertising information is retained according to our configured provider settings, the visitor’s consent choices, and the applicable provider’s retention rules. We periodically review these settings and seek to avoid retaining identifiable event information longer than reasonably necessary.
Backups
Deleted information may remain in restricted backup systems for a limited period until the backup is overwritten, provided that it is not restored for ordinary business use.
At the end of the applicable retention period, information is deleted, securely destroyed, or de-identified, unless continued retention is legally required.
15. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental loss, unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, and disclosure.
Depending on the information and system involved, these safeguards may include:
Access controls;
Password and account protections;
Multi-factor authentication;
Encryption in transit;
Secure hosting and payment providers;
Limited staff access;
Data-minimization practices;
Staff instructions concerning confidential student information;
Security monitoring;
Software updates; and
Backup and recovery procedures.
No website, transmission, storage system, or service provider can guarantee absolute security. You should use a strong, unique password for any account and should not send highly sensitive information through ordinary email or social media messages unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure method.
If a security incident affects personal information, we will investigate and provide notification when required by applicable law.
16. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:
Know whether we process your personal information;
Request access to personal information;
Request correction of inaccurate information;
Request deletion;
Obtain a portable copy of certain information;
Request restriction of processing;
Object to certain processing;
Withdraw consent;
Opt out of marketing;
Opt out of sale, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising;
Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
Use an authorized agent;
Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request; and
Exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
Parents and guardians may exercise applicable rights on behalf of a minor child.
To submit a request, contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section. Please state the nature of your request and identify the parent and student records involved.
We may request reasonable information to verify your identity and authority. We will use verification information only to process the request. An authorized agent may be required to provide proof of authorization, and we may contact the individual directly to confirm the request.
Certain information may be exempt from a request, including information needed to complete a transaction, provide a requested service, protect safety or security, comply with law, maintain tax or accounting records, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by emailing us with “Privacy Request Appeal” in the subject line and explaining why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
17. Notice for Residents of U.S. States With Comprehensive Privacy Laws
For residents covered by an applicable U.S. state privacy law, the categories of personal information we may have collected during the preceding 12 months include:
Identifiers and contact information;
Customer and enrollment records;
Age and other student characteristics provided by a parent;
Commercial and transaction information;
Internet or electronic-network activity;
Approximate geolocation;
Photographs, video, audio, and similar sensory information;
Educational, learning, accommodation, or class-placement information;
Sensitive information voluntarily provided for health, safety, accessibility, or emergency purposes; and
Inferences about an adult visitor’s possible interest in our programs based on website activity.
The sources, business purposes, retention practices, and categories of recipients are described throughout this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share adult device identifiers and website activity with Meta for targeted advertising as explained above. The categories of personal information sold for money are none. The categories potentially shared for targeted advertising are online identifiers, Internet activity, approximate location, advertising-interaction information, and adult-interest inferences.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. Sensitive student information is used only for purposes such as providing the requested service, maintaining safety, providing accommodations, preventing security incidents, and complying with law. It is not used to infer characteristics for advertising.
18. International Visitors
World of Robotics is based in Pennsylvania, United States. Personal information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your country.
Where the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following:
Performance of a contract or steps requested before entering a contract;
Consent;
Our legitimate interests in operating and improving our services, communicating with customers, protecting safety and security, and marketing to adults, provided those interests are not overridden by individual rights;
Compliance with a legal obligation;
Protection of vital interests during an emergency; and
Establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Where legally required, we rely on explicit consent or another permitted legal basis before processing health, disability, or similarly sensitive information.
Individuals in applicable jurisdictions may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. They may also have the right to submit a complaint to the data-protection authority in the country or region where they live.
When required, we and our service providers use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers. A copy or description of an applicable safeguard may be requested by contacting us, subject to lawful confidentiality restrictions.
19. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may link to third-party websites, educational resources, software providers, payment pages, social media platforms, or other services that we do not control.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of each external service before providing information.
A link to an external website does not mean that World of Robotics controls or accepts responsibility for that website’s privacy or security practices.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, providers, legal obligations, or privacy practices.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
The current version will be posted on our website. We encourage parents and guardians to review it periodically.
