Robotics and STEM Classes for Kids in Huntingdon Valley & King of Prussia

Terms and Conditions– World of Robotics Corp.

Effective Date: 09/23/2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By enrolling your child in any class or program offered by World of Robotics Corp. (“World of Robotics,” “we,” “us,” or “the Company”), you (the parent or legal guardian of the minor student) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not enroll your child or use our services.

  1. Company Information

World of Robotics Corp. is a corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our company provides robotics and STEM educational classes primarily for minor children. All classes, services, and transactions with World of Robotics are subject to Pennsylvania law and these Terms and Conditions.

  2. Eligibility and Enrollment

    1. Minors as Participants: Our programs are designed for minor children (under 18 years of age). All students must be minors. A parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and agree to these Terms on behalf of the minor. Under Pennsylvania law, individuals under 18 cannot enter into binding contracts on their own, so the parent/guardian’s consent is required. By enrolling, you confirm that you are the legal guardian of the child participant and authorized to agree to these Terms on their behalf.

    2. Parental Responsibility: The parent/guardian enrolling the child is responsible for ensuring that the child meets any age or prerequisite requirements for the class. You agree to provide accurate information about your child (such as name and age) during enrollment and to update us of any relevant changes (e.g. contact information, medical or learning needs).

    3. Behavior and Conduct: You are responsible for reviewing proper behavior expectations with your child. World of Robotics reserves the right to refuse enrollment or participation to any child if we believe they are unsuitable for the program or if behavior issues arise (see Section 7 below on Conduct & Safety).

  3. Payment and Fees

    1. Tuition and Fees: Class fees must be paid in advance as a condition of enrollment. We offer both single-session (pay-per-class) options and multi-session packages (e.g. monthly or semester passes). All prices for classes or packages will be communicated at booking (e.g. a monthly pass for robotics covering 4 classes is typically $140). Any applicable registration fees or taxes will be disclosed upfront.

    2. Accepted Payment Methods: We accept payments via Stripe, Squarespace Payments, PayPal, and cash (for in-person bookings). Electronic payments are processed through third-party payment processors for your convenience.
Please note: These third-party platforms have their own terms and privacy policies; World of Robotics is not responsible for their operations or any issues arising from their services. We do not store your full credit card information on our systems.

    3. Payment Schedule: Payment for single classes is due at the time of booking. Payment for a monthly or semester package is due in full before the start of the first class in that package (unless a specific payment plan is agreed in writing). If a payment method is declined or payment is not received by the due date, World of Robotics reserves the right to cancel the enrollment or refuse entry to the class until payment is resolved.

    4. Late Fees: We generally do not charge late fees since payment is required upfront. However, if any special arrangement is made where payment is invoiced after enrollment, late payments may incur a reasonable late fee or result in suspension of services until paid.

  4. Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to be fair and in compliance with applicable Pennsylvania laws. Please note the following:

    1. Single-Class Enrollment: If you registered and paid for a one-time class (drop-in session), you may cancel before the class begins and receive a full refund of the tuition for that class. To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us of the cancellation before the scheduled start time of the class (preferably at least 24 hours in advance). No refunds will be given once the class has started or after the class has occurred.

    2. Monthly or Semester Packages: If you purchased a package of multiple classes (for example, a monthly pass or a semester program), you may cancel for a full refund only if the cancellation is requested before the first class of the package takes place. Once the first class/session of a monthly or semester package has started, the package is considered committed and non-refundable for that month/term. This means: if your child has attended or missed (without timely cancellation) any session of the package, you are not eligible for a refund for the remainder of the package.

    3. Prorated or Partial Refunds: We do not generally offer partial refunds for unused classes in a package once the package has begun. (Exception: if we cancel a class and cannot offer a suitable makeup, see Section 6 below.) The package pricing is discounted for multiple sessions, and unused sessions cannot be redeemed for cash. In special cases of extended illness or unforeseen circumstances, we may, at our sole discretion, offer a credit or make-up classes in lieu of a refund.

    4. How to Request a Refund: To cancel and request a refund (when eligible per the above rules), you must contact us via mailbox@worldofrobotics.center as soon as possible. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method (or by check for cash payments) within a reasonable processing time. If you paid via credit card or online payment, please allow up to 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

(Note: If any specific Pennsylvania state law grants you additional rights to cancel or receive a refund (for example, certain consumer protection rules or education service regulations), World of Robotics will honor the minimum requirements of such laws. For instance, private educational institutions in PA must allow a full refund of any registration fees if cancellation is requested within 5 days of signing an enrollment agreement, provided no classes have been attended. While World of Robotics is an extracurricular program and not a licensed school, we strive to abide by the spirit of these protections. If you have any questions about refunds, please contact us.)

  5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy (Student Absences)

We understand that sometimes a child may need to miss a class due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or other reasons. Our policy for cancellations and make-up classes depends on the type of enrollment:

    1. Monthly Package Students: If your child is enrolled in a monthly pass (4 classes per month), we offer flexibility for one missed class per month provided you notify us at least 24 hours in advance of the absence:

In a standard 4-class month (most months have one class per week, totaling 4 sessions), if you give 24+ hours notice that your child will miss a session, you have two options:
      (a) Free Reschedule: You may arrange a make-up class for the missed session within the same calendar month at no additional charge (subject to class availability), OR
      (b) Credit Toward Next Month: You may receive a credit applied to the next month’s tuition. This credit represents the value of the missed class carried over. (For example, if the monthly fee is $140 for 4 classes, and one class is missed with notice, we recalculate that month as 3 classes for $120 and carry forward the remaining $20 as a credit to the next billing cycle.)

In a 5-class month (occasionally, a month may have 5 weekly sessions due to how the calendar falls), the fifth session is provided at no extra charge as a bonus. If your child misses one class in a 5-class month with proper notice, no monetary credit is issued for the missed session (because you have effectively received 4 paid sessions out of the 5). However, we will still try to offer a make-up class if feasible. Essentially, the extra session in a long month is free, so a missed class in that scenario is already offset by the built-in free session.

All notifications for missed classes should be made by emailing or calling us at least 24 hours before the class. If you do not use the offered make-up class within the same month, the opportunity expires – unused classes do not roll over beyond the month (except via the credit policy above). Only one class per month is eligible for credit or rescheduling; additional absences in the same month will be considered no-shows (see below).

    2. Per-Class (Drop-In) Students: If you are paying on a per-class basis (not a monthly subscriber) and need to cancel or miss a class:

If you provide at least 24 hours advance notice of the cancellation, you may reschedule that class one time at no additional charge. We will work with you to book your child into another equivalent session (subject to availability) as a make-up. This rescheduled class should be taken within a reasonable time (preferably within the next 30 days).

If you fail to give 24 hours notice, or if you simply do not show up for the class without prior notice, the session will be treated as a forfeited lesson. No reschedule or refund or credit will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. (This is because we schedule instructors and resources based on expected attendance and cannot fill the spot on short notice.)

    3. Extenuating Circumstances: We understand emergencies can happen (sudden illness, family emergency, etc.). If a true last-minute emergency arises, please inform us as soon as possible. While our official policy is that late cancellations are not credited, we may evaluate extreme situations on a case-by-case basis and, at our discretion, offer a make-up or credit as a courtesy. This is not guaranteed and is decided by the Company’s management.

By enrolling, you acknowledge that attending classes regularly and on time is important for your child’s learning experience. We encourage consistent attendance to ensure steady progress, but we have the above flexibility in place for occasional missed sessions when proper notice is given.

  6. Cancellation by World of Robotics (Instructor Absence or Other)

On rare occasions, World of Robotics may need to cancel or reschedule a class (for example, due to instructor illness, inclement weather, facility issues, or low enrollment). In such cases:

    1. Notification: We will notify you (the parent/guardian) as soon as possible if a class session is being canceled or rescheduled by us. Notification will be made via the primary email and/or phone number you provided at registration.

    2. Make-Up or Credit: If we cancel a class, we will first attempt to reschedule the class (e.g. add a make-up session on another date) that is convenient for most participants. If rescheduling is not possible or you are unable to attend the rescheduled session, we will offer you a pro-rated credit or refund for the canceled class. For monthly package holders, a canceled class may either be made up within the month or a prorated credit will be applied toward your next month’s fee or refunded at month’s end. For single-class purchasers, a canceled class will be fully refunded if not rescheduled.

    3. Partial Class Disruptions: If a class is interrupted (for example, due to a power outage or emergency) and less than half of the session was completed, we will treat it as a cancellation and offer a make-up or credit as above. If more than half of the class was completed, we may, at our discretion, consider the class fulfilled or offer a partial credit.

    4. Program Changes: World of Robotics reserves the right to change class schedules, substitute instructors, or make minor curriculum adjustments when necessary. We will endeavor to communicate any major changes in advance. If we must permanently cancel an ongoing program or session series, we will provide appropriate prorated refunds for any remaining classes.

  7. Student Conduct and Safety Expectations

We prioritize a safe, respectful learning environment for all students. By enrolling your child, you agree to the following conduct and safety terms:

    1. Behavioral Expectations: Students are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors and fellow students. Disruptive, unsafe, or bullying behavior is not tolerated. This includes following classroom rules, using equipment properly, and not endangering oneself or others. We reserve the right to remove a child from an activity temporarily or permanently if they repeatedly disrupt the class or pose a safety risk.

    2. Dismissal for Misconduct: In the unlikely event that a student’s behavior is extremely inappropriate or dangerous and does not improve after warnings, World of Robotics may dismiss the student from the program. In such cases, we will discuss the situation with the parent/guardian. Refunds for any unused classes due to dismissal for misconduct will be at the Company’s discretion; generally, serious violations resulting in removal are not subject to refund (as we must still pay instructors and hold the spot open). We will, however, refund any prepaid amounts for future months or sessions that the child will no longer attend due to the dismissal.

    3. Supervision and Safety: We maintain a safe environment and adequate supervision at all times. Our instructor-to-student ratio is designed to ensure every child receives attention and is monitored during activities. All instructors and staff members have undergone the background checks required by Pennsylvania law for those working with minors. We also ensure our staff are trained in safety protocols and the subject matter. While your child is in our care during class time, we take responsibility for their well-being and will act promptly to address any issues or injuries (see Medical Emergency section below).

    4. Parental Responsibilities During Class: Depending on the age group and class format, we may or may not require parents to remain on-site during the class. (For example, for very young children or certain venues, a parent/guardian might be asked to stay nearby.) We will inform you of any such requirement. If parents are not required to stay, you must still provide a reliable contact number and remain reachable during your child’s class in case of emergency or early pickup needs. Parents/guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pickup of the child. We ask that you drop off your child no earlier than 5 minutes before class and pick them up no later than 5 minutes after class ends. World of Robotics is not a daycare service; we cannot supervise children outside of scheduled class times.

    5. Facility Rules: Any location or facility used for our classes (whether our own center or a partner venue) may have its own rules (e.g. no outside food, required use of safety equipment, etc.). We will convey any such rules to you and/or the students. You and your child agree to abide by all posted safety guidelines and instructions given by our staff. Failure to follow safety rules may result in the student’s removal from certain activities or classes for their own protection.

  8. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

Please read this section carefully, as it affects legal rights.

    1. Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that participating in robotics and STEM classes involves some inherent risks and hazards. Activities may include using computers, electronic components, robotics kits, tools, and moving parts. While World of Robotics prioritizes safety and provides instruction on proper use of equipment, there is always a possibility of accidents, such as minor electrical shocks, cuts, scrapes, falls, or other injuries. By enrolling your child, you assume all risks of your child’s participation in our classes, both known and unknown, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    2. Release of Liability: To the maximum extent allowed under applicable law, you agree to waive, release, and discharge World of Robotics Corp., its owners, employees, instructors, and agents from any and all liability or claims for personal injury, illness, damage, or loss of property arising from or relating to your child’s participation in our classes or presence on our premises. This waiver and release covers claims arising from ordinary negligence on our part or on the part of our staff. Nothing in this waiver shall be construed to release World of Robotics from liability for gross negligence, reckless misconduct, or intentional harm.

    3. Scope of Waiver (Parents’ and Child’s Rights): You understand that, as a parent or guardian, you are not able to waive certain legal rights on behalf of your minor child. Pennsylvania law does not permit a parent to waive a minor’s own personal injury claim in advance. This means that if your child is injured due to someone’s negligence, the child may still have the right to seek legal remedy upon turning 18, even if you signed a liability waiver. However, by agreeing to these Terms, you are waiving and releasing any claims that you yourself may have – for example, a parent’s right to sue for medical expenses or loss of a child’s services due to an injury can be waived by the parent. In summary, you agree that you will not sue World of Robotics Corp. or its staff for any injury or damages relating to your child’s participation, and you acknowledge that your child’s independent rights (if any) are not waived but are subject to the law.

    4. Indemnification: Further to this waiver, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless World of Robotics Corp. and its instructors/staff from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) that arise from your child’s actions or participation. This includes, for example, damage your child may cause to equipment or facilities, or injuries to others caused by your child’s actions, to the extent such actions were willful, reckless, or outside the expected scope of the class activities. (We do not expect any issues, but this clause ensures that if your child’s intentional act causes harm, the financial responsibility does not fall on the Company unfairly.)

    5. No Guarantee of Outcomes: You understand that World of Robotics provides educational services and makes no guarantees about specific outcomes or skill mastery. Each child’s progress may vary. Any descriptions of classes are meant to outline the curriculum, not promise that every child will achieve a particular level of proficiency. We are not liable for any failure of a child to achieve personal or academic goals.

    6. Release of Property Damage: World of Robotics is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal property that you or your child bring to class. We encourage students not to bring valuables or electronics from home unless requested for the class. Any personal items (jackets, backpacks, etc.) should be labeled. Lost and found items will be kept for a reasonable period but ultimately World of Robotics is not liable for unclaimed items.

By signing (or by clicking “I Agree” if this is an online acceptance), you acknowledge that you have read and understood the risk and waiver provisions in this section, and that you voluntarily accept them as a condition of your child’s participation.

  9. Medical Authorization and Emergencies

    1. Health Information: You agree to inform World of Robotics of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or special needs your child has prior to the start of the program. This includes any conditions like asthma, epilepsy, autism spectrum, allergy to latex or other materials, etc., or any need for accommodations. This information will help us ensure a safe environment for your child. We treat all such disclosures confidentially and only for safety purposes.

    2. Illness Policy: Please do not send your child to class if they are ill (fever, contagious illness, etc.). If a child arrives sick or becomes ill during class, we may contact you to pick them up early in order to protect the well-being of the child and others. Missed classes due to illness can be handled per the rescheduling policy in Section 5 (advance notice if possible, etc.).

    3. Medical Emergencies: In the event of an injury or medical emergency during class, our staff will take appropriate action. Minor injuries (small cuts, scrapes) will be given basic first aid (we keep a first aid kit on site). In the case of any significant injury or if the child is seriously unwell, we will make every effort to immediately contact the parent/guardian at the phone numbers provided. If we determine that urgent medical care is needed and we cannot reach you or time does not permit, you authorize World of Robotics to seek emergency medical treatment for your child. This may include calling an ambulance/EMT or taking the child to an urgent care or emergency room. You also authorize any necessary medical intervention recommended by healthcare professionals in such a situation.

    4. Financial Responsibility for Medical Care: You, as the parent/guardian, assume all financial responsibility for medical treatment provided to your child in an emergency. World of Robotics does not provide medical insurance for participants. We strongly suggest that you have adequate health insurance coverage for your child. We will not pay for medical expenses if your child is injured or falls ill during the class, except to the extent a court of law holds us directly liable for causing the injury due to gross negligence or willful misconduct.

    5. Liability for Emergency Treatment: We will make reasonable efforts to ensure the safety of all participants, as noted. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree that if emergency care is rendered to your child in good faith by our staff or third parties, you will not hold World of Robotics or its staff liable for the consequences of such care, except in cases of gross negligence. This is consistent with “Good Samaritan” principles and Pennsylvania law’s expectations for emergency aid.

  10. Media Release and Communication Consent

    1. Photographs and Videos: World of Robotics Corp. may occasionally take photographs or video recordings during classes or events for promotional, educational, or internal purposes. These may be used on our website, social media pages, brochures, or other marketing materials to showcase our programs. By enrolling your child, you consent to your child being photographed or recorded in the class setting, and you grant World of Robotics the right to use and publish such media featuring your child. We will not identify minors by full name in any public materials without additional consent. If you DO NOT want your child’s image or likeness to be used, you must opt-out by notifying us in writing (such as an email to our office) before your child’s first class. We will honor any such opt-out requests and ensure your child is not included in any photos/videos.

    2. Use of Student Work: As part of our promotional efforts, we might also wish to display projects or creations made by students (for example, a robot they built or a piece of code). By default, we may showcase these works (with first name or no name attribution). If you object to this, please let us know in writing.

    3. Communications Consent: By providing your email address and/or phone number, you consent to receive communications from World of Robotics related to our classes. This includes email updates, class reminders, schedule changes, invoices/receipts, and occasional newsletters or promotional offers. We will primarily communicate via email and possibly text messages for urgent notifications (like a last-minute cancellation). Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential communications (such as marketing newsletters) at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in an email or informing us directly in writing. However, please note that if you opt out of certain communications, you might miss important announcements about classes – we recommend at least one valid contact method remain subscribed for critical notifications. We will not spam you, and we do not share your contact information with third-party marketers without your consent.

    4. Social Media: If you engage with World of Robotics on social media (posting on our pages, tagging us, etc.), ensure that any content you share respects the privacy of other students and families. We moderate our online communities to keep them safe and appropriate.

  11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your and your child’s privacy is important to us. Below is an overview of how we handle personal data:

    1. Personal Information Collected: During registration, we collect information such as the child’s name, age, and any relevant health or learning information, as well as parent/guardian name, contact details (phone, email, address), and payment information. We use this information solely for running the classes (ensuring appropriate class placement, safety, and contacting you) and for payment processing. We minimize the data collected from children themselves; typically communications and accounts are handled with the parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without parental consent, in compliance with COPPA. If our website has any interactive features for students, they will be designed for use under parent supervision and/or with minimal personal data.

    2. Use and Sharing of Data: We will not sell or rent your personal information or your child’s information to third parties. We will share information only as needed to provide our services – for example, with our staff (instructors will have class rosters with student names/ages and any need-to-know health info), and with our payment processors (to handle billing). All third-party service providers we use (such as Stripe/PayPal, or any scheduling software) are contractually or legally bound to protect your data.

    3. Data Security: We implement reasonable security measures (administrative, technical, and physical) to protect personal data against unauthorized access or disclosure. For instance, our registration records are kept in secure, access-controlled systems. However, no system is 100% secure, and you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee absolute security of data. If there were a data breach involving your or your child’s personal information, we would notify you in accordance with Pennsylvania data breach notification laws.

    4. Retention: We will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the classes and for a reasonable time thereafter. Basic enrollment records may be kept for a number of years to maintain academic or attendance history, or as required by insurance and legal record-keeping guidelines. Payment records will be maintained as required for financial accounting and tax purposes.

    5. Parental Access and Rights: As a parent, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you or your child. You may also request correction of any inaccurate information or deletion of information, subject to our need to maintain appropriate records. To make any requests regarding your data, please contact us (see Section 15 for contact info). We will comply with applicable laws regarding your data rights.

    6. Photo/Media Opt-Out: As mentioned in Section 10, if you opted out of media usage, we will flag your child’s data to ensure no photos/videos are used.

    7. Website and Cookies: If you use our website to register, note that our site might use cookies or similar technologies for functionality (e.g., to keep you logged in or remember preferences). Our website may also contain links to external sites (for example, a link to our PayPal checkout or an educational resource). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services we utilize.

  12. Payment Processing and Third-Party Services

As noted earlier, we use third-party services for certain functions:

    1. Payment Services: Online payments for World of Robotics classes are handled by providers such as Stripe, Squarespace Payments, or PayPal. When you enter your payment details, you are interacting with those platforms. By making a payment, you are also agreeing to the terms of service of the respective payment provider. World of Robotics does not have control over those platforms’ operations. We are not liable for any errors or security breaches on the part of those payment processors. However, if you encounter an issue with payment (such as a double charge or transaction error), please inform us and we will work with you and the processor to resolve it. Keep in mind that different privacy policies and practices may apply to those platforms.

    2. Website and Software: If you use a third-party registration portal or scheduling software (for instance, if our site links you to a booking platform), any data you enter there is subject to that platform’s terms as well. We strive to choose reputable providers that comply with privacy laws.

    3. No Endorsement of Third-Party Links: Any external resources or links provided during our classes (e.g., a link to download software or view a tutorial) are for convenience. World of Robotics is not responsible for content on external websites, and following those links is at your discretion. We do not endorse or guarantee third-party content.

    4. Third-Party Instructors or Partners: In some cases, World of Robotics might partner with schools, community centers, or other organizations to host classes, or we might bring in a guest instructor. We will ensure that any partner or guest also abides by appropriate standards (including background checks and expertise). That said, our partners may have their own policies (for example, if we run a class at a community center, that center might require you to sign their own liability waiver or follow their facility rules). We will inform you of any such additional requirements ahead of time.

  13. Intellectual Property

All curriculum materials, handouts, documentation, software, and other content provided by World of Robotics during the classes are proprietary intellectual property of World of Robotics Corp. or our licensors, unless otherwise stated. This includes any custom lesson plans, slides, or educational materials we give to students (excluding general materials like third-party textbooks or kits). These materials are for personal educational use of the enrolled student only. You agree not to copy, distribute, or use our proprietary materials for any commercial purpose or outside the context of your child’s personal learning. Students are of course free to keep their own notes and the projects they create. If any project uses a loaned kit or our equipment, the physical kit remains our property unless explicitly given or sold to the student.

  14. Force Majeure

World of Robotics will not be liable for delays or failures in performance (including class cancellations or postponements) due to events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, war, acts of terrorism, government orders, pandemics or public health emergencies, or other “force majeure” events. If such an event causes class sessions to be canceled, we will make good-faith efforts to reschedule or move classes online if possible. If the program must be terminated due to a force majeure event, we will issue appropriate prorated refunds or credits for any undelivered classes.

  15. Modification of Terms

World of Robotics Corp. reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions as needed. Laws change over time, and our services may evolve, so we may revise the terms to reflect current practices and compliance requirements. Whenever we make a material change to the Terms, we will notify enrolled customers via email or via a prominent notice on our website, and we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document. It is your responsibility to review any updated Terms. Continued participation in classes after changes are communicated will constitute acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you may withdraw from the program (and we will address any refunds or credits consistent with Sections 4 and 5). Minor edits or clarifications that do not substantially affect your rights may be made without prior notice, but the updated Terms will always be available upon request.

  16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    1. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising from your child’s participation in World of Robotics programs or your relationship with the Company shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. We operate in Pennsylvania and aim to comply with all relevant PA state laws and regulations in our programming (including safety and consumer protection laws).

    2. Jurisdiction and Venue: In the event of any legal action or proceeding between us, you agree that such action will be filed and adjudicated exclusively in the state courts of Pennsylvania, in the county where World of Robotics is headquartered (or the closest appropriate venue), or in the federal courts of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (if federal jurisdiction is appropriate). You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts for any litigation arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services.

    3. Attorney’s Fees: In any dispute, each party will be responsible for their own attorney’s fees, except as otherwise provided by law. (For example, certain consumer protection laws might shift fees to a business if a consumer prevails; we of course abide by any such laws if applicable.)

    4. Limitation of Claims: To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any claim or cause of action arising out of your child’s participation or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose, or be forever barred. (This does not shorten any statutory period for a minor child’s own claims; it pertains to claims by parents/guardians or by participants regarding contractual issues.)

(Note: We are not including a mandatory arbitration clause in these Terms at this time, in order to allow our customers the full range of legal remedies. However, we encourage amicable resolution of any issues. If you have a complaint or problem, please reach out to us first and we will do our best to resolve it without legal action.)

  17. Disclaimer of Warranties

World of Robotics provides its classes and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive for excellence in our teaching and a safe environment, we make no warranties or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, about the results of the classes or the fitness of our services for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that your child will achieve any particular outcome, score, or skill level. We do not warrant that the classes will be uninterrupted or error-free (though we certainly aim to avoid interruptions). To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim any implied warranties, such as implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This disclaimer does not limit any warranties that are incapable of exclusion under law, but it sets the general expectation that educational outcomes vary and that you accept our services with that understanding.

  18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent not already covered by the waiver in Section 8, you agree that World of Robotics Corp.’s liability is limited. In no event will World of Robotics or its directors, officers, employees or agents be liable to you or your child for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including (but not limited to) lost profits, lost opportunities, or emotional distress, arising out of or relating to the classes or these Terms. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claims arising from a class or enrollment shall not exceed the total amount of fees you paid to us for that class or enrollment. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; if such laws apply, some of the above limitations may not apply to you. We do not seek to limit liability for gross negligence or willful harm.

  19. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions (along with any registration form or enrollment agreement you filled out, and any policies referenced herein such as our Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and World of Robotics Corp. regarding the program. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter. Any changes or additions to this agreement (other than updates we make as per Section 15) must be in writing and agreed by both parties. No oral representations or promises by any instructor or staff that contradict these written Terms are binding.

  20. Severability

Each provision of these Terms is severable. If any provision or part of a provision is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that part shall be reformed or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder of the Terms shall remain in full force and effect. In other words, if one clause is unlawful or void, it does not invalidate the rest of this agreement, which can still be enforced. Pennsylvania law favors interpreting contracts in a way that upholds their enforceability whenever possible.

  21. No Waiver

Failure by World of Robotics to enforce any term or condition herein on one or more occasions shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce the same (or any other term) in the future. For example, if we choose not to strictly enforce a late cancellation policy one time as a courtesy, it does not mean we give up the right to enforce it the next time. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of World of Robotics.
